Retrofit vs. full frame
The opening tells us how it should be rebuilt.
Retrofit installation can retain a sound existing frame and protect surrounding stucco. Full-frame installation removes the old frame so the opening, weatherproofing, proportions, or material transition can be rebuilt. Neither is automatically better; the home and project goals decide.
Final measurements, lead times, code requirements, warranty coverage, and installation details are confirmed in the written project scope.
